SPIFLASH SERIAL FLASH MEMORIES FROM WINBOND
In June 2005 Winbond Electronics Corporation has acquired one of the known developer and provider of Serial Flash Memory products, NexFlash Technologies, Inc. and introduced its products - SpiFlash Serial Flash memories - to one's own offer. These memories feature the popular Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), densities from 1 Mbit to 32 Mbit, fast clock rates and small packages.
SpiFlash memories are an alternative to parallel Flash memories and are ideal for a wide variety of electronic applications. They can reduce pin count, board space, power, noise and also cost.
The offer includes seven products:
- W25P10 (NexFlash P/N: NX25P10) - 1Mbit SpiFlash Memory with 40MHz SPI, 8-pin SOIC 150 mil
- W25P20 (NexFlash P/N: NX25P20) - 2Mbit SpiFlash Memory with 40MHz SPI, 8-pin SOIC 150 mil
- W25P40 (NexFlash P/N: NX25P40) - 4Mbit SpiFlash Memory with 40MHz SPI, 8-pin SOIC 150 mil
- W25B40 (NexFlash P/N: NX25B40) - 4Mbit SpiFlash Memory with Boot Sectors, 8-pin SOIC 150 mil
- W25P80 (NexFlash P/N: NX25P80) - 8Mbit SpiFlash Memory, 8-pin SOIC 208 mil
- W25P16 (NexFlash P/N: NX25P16) - 16Mbit SpiFlash Memory, 8-pin SOIC 208 mil or 16-pin SOIC 300 mil
